Hello and Welcome!

1.      As a proof of concept for synergistic, grassroots development projects in a Utopian society
2.      To torture my children on Saturday mornings without having to sound like a broken record
3.      It seemed like a good idea and I could do it
4.      Because I needed it (G4OSG, ResearchMaster)
5.      Because I wanted it (MIDI Flashcard stuff)

1.      Search for funding is too distracting from original motivation of simply building something useful
2.      When you give it away lots of people use it; when you attempt to make $0.02 nobody uses it
3.      When you give it away you don't have to pay taxes and worry about paperwork
4.      When you give it away you don't have to worry about licenses and other restrictions
5.      Just seeing it get used in schools around the world is very gratifying
6.      As long as I have my job and am not starving then it is a good hobby
7.      When you give it away you hear appreciation from nice people
8.      The website becomes like a bird feeder!
